Asphalt crack repair
Hairline and block cracks let water into the base, and on Garland clay that water makes the ground swell and shrink right under the pavement. Sealing them early is the cheapest repair there is. Cracks are routed or cleaned out with compressed air, dried, and filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant that stays flexible through summer heat and winter cold. Wide cracks with broken edges are better cut out and patched.
Asphalt patching that holds
A patch fails when it is shoveled into a hole and tamped by foot. We cut the damaged area square with a saw, dig out the broken asphalt and any wet or soft base below it, add and compact stone, tack the edges, and fill with hot-mix compacted in layers with a plate or roller. The result sits level with the surface around it and seals at the joint.

Sunken spots, edges and alligator cracking
A spot that has dropped is a base problem, not a surface one: a leaking sprinkler line, a downspout emptying onto the drive, or clay that has shrunk away. Edges crumble where tires run off the pavement and there is no support beside it. Alligator cracking, the web of small cracks over an area, means the base under it has failed. Each of these needs the base fixed before the asphalt, and when the damage covers most of a driveway, replacement or a resurfacing overlay is the better value.
Driveway repair and lot repair
We repair home driveways and business, church and HOA lots in Garland and in Mesquite, Richardson, Rowlett, Rockwall and Wylie. On lots, the repairs are often done before sealcoating and restriping so the whole lot is finished in one visit. Holes in particular have their own page: pothole repair.
